iOS-specific tips and fixes

Push notifications missing? Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Telegram — Allow Notifications must be on and Focus modes shouldn't be silencing it. Inside the app, verify Settings → Notifications and Sounds too.

Enable app lock. Settings → Privacy and Security → Passcode & Face ID → turn on lock with a short auto-lock delay to protect chats if the phone is lost.

Use less mobile data. Settings → Data and Storage lets you disable auto-download on cellular for videos and files above a chosen size.

Yes — the download and all core features are free. Telegram Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks premium stickers, doubled limits and faster downloads.

Can I move my chats to a new iPhone?

Just install Telegram on the new device and sign in with the same phone number. All cloud chats, media and channels appear automatically. Only Secret Chats (device-local) don't migrate.

Does the iPad version have a split layout?

Yes. On iPad and larger iPhones the app shows chats on the left and messages on the right for a desktop-like workflow.
